About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial/Commercial Door Service Technician to join our team at Dixie Electric, Plumbing, & Air. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of loading dock equipment, sectional doors, rolling doors, and high-speed doors.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and provide excellent work ethic and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete service calls for installing and servicing loading dock equipment, sectional doors, rolling doors, and high-speed doors
  • Provide preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues using appropriate equipment
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills during day-to-day operations
  • Complete assigned work in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and team members
  • Work with team members on the training of apprentices

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills of welding and stick welding
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from heights
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
  • Passion for helping others and presenting a professional, positive attitude at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience working with commercial doors
