GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The primary role involves the precise and efficient preparation of food items in designated kitchen areas, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to sanitary standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and set up workstations according to restaurant protocols.
  • Prepare all food items in a clean and timely manner, adhering to recipes and portion controls as directed by the Chef.
  • Restock supplies as needed throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of the kitchen, storage areas, and walk-in coolers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Candidates should possess the ability to use their arms, hands, and fingers repetitively; communicate effectively with team members; maintain a positive attitude; and have a basic understanding of culinary techniques and knife skills. Familiarity with sanitation and safe food handling practices is essential. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To fulfill the essential functions of this position, employees must be capable of performing the following activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, listening, and repetitive motions. This role requires standing for the entirety of the shift.

Heavy Work: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: May involve occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water.
