Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose and treat mental health disorders in a correctional setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide supervision and oversight to mental health staff, including training and consultation services.
- Exercise independent medical judgment in diagnosis and treatment of patients, adhering to approved medication formulary and notifying appropriate staff of clinical or administrative concerns.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctorate in Psychiatry.
- Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
- Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry.
- CPR certification.
