We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment: Conduct thorough and accurate multi-system assessments of patients, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care that are sensitive to the developmental needs of patients. Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
- Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients. Bases nursing care on protocol in place for management of each patient. Correctly carries out the physicians plan of care.
- Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients response to treatment. Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years, any of the following nursing care units: ICU, CVICU, MSICU, CVL, CCU, or pre/post cardiac surgery/recovery.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Basic Life Support.
- Previous health care experience.
- Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
- Cath lab experience preferred.
- CCRN or CPAN certification preferred.
- Phase 1 anesthesia recovery competent preferred.
