Pharmacy Assistant

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the pharmacist in processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This part-time position is located within a clinic and offers the potential for hours to expand as the pharmacy business grows. The successful candidate will also be required to cover other technicians on PTO, which may result in additional hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrieve, count, and measure drugs accurately.
- Assist the pharmacist in ordering and restocking of medications.
- Access, input, and retrieve prescription information from the computer system.
- Refer physicians' calls and medical questions to the pharmacist.
- Operate a cash register and perform other administrative tasks.
- Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.
- Follow standard policies and practices.
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for obtaining new prescriptions and prescription refill information. They will perform daily pharmacy technician duties, including various activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. The successful candidate will also be required to interact with patients and affiliate primary care clinics.

- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy software.
