  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and housekeeping of the West Suburban YMCA and its facilities.
  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
  • Perform duties related to window washing, meeting setup, pool cleaning, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities.
  • Work varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
Requirements
  • 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
  • Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Professional will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies, as well as work at heights up to 30 feet.
