POSITION OVERVIEW:

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive assessments, therapeutic services, and trauma-focused interventions for individuals of all ages who have encountered traumatic experiences.

The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices (e.g., TF-CBT, ACT, PE, CPT, EMDR, PCIT, TAP);
  • Offer immediate support to clients in crisis situations;
  • Assess and direct clients to suitable trauma treatment options;
  • Collaborate with clients and families to identify necessary services;
  • Work alongside case managers to align client needs with community resources, employment, and educational institutions;
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable objectives in partnership with clients;
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation, including progress notes;
  • Exhibit sound clinical judgment in decision-making regarding client care;
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when engaging with diverse populations; and
  • Guarantee that clients receive respectful and empowering assistance tailored to their treatment needs.
Qualifications:

A Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families affected by trauma. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Candidates should be licensed or license-eligible. Reliable transportation, liability insurance, and a valid driver's license are required.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to foster a respectful environment and adapt treatment approaches according to the unique needs of participants. Strong verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with evidence-based treatment models (TF-CBT), and an understanding of trauma-affected populations are essential.

Personal Attributes:

A commitment to valuing cultural diversity, the ability to inspire others, and a genuine interest in supporting children, adolescents, and their families are crucial.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Travel Requirements: 5%
