About the Position

Greenville University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Sports Management department as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, developing and delivering innovative curriculum, and contributing to the growth and development of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach 12-13 credit hours per semester, develop and deliver innovative courses at the undergraduate level, and contribute to the development of current and future programs.
  • Program Leadership: Serve as the Sports Management program director, overseeing the program's growth and development, and ensuring alignment with the university's mission and values.
  • Student Supervision and Guidance: Provide supervision and guidance to sport management interns, and advise students on their academic and professional goals.
  • University Service: Perform university service, including committee work, department and campus service activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Recruitment and Marketing: Assist with recruiting and marketing activities to build student awareness of the major, and student retention efforts.
Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. degree in Sport Management or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Candidates holding a master's degree in a related field, with industry experience and teaching experience, will be considered.
  • Experience in college-level teaching and scholarship is highly desired.
  • The successful candidate will have content expertise and teaching passion to develop the creative minds of undergraduate students in the sport management disciplines within a Christian worldview.
