Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team at Buchheit. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a visually appealing store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and determine their needs and wants, making recommendations on merchandise.
  • Advise customers on product utilization and care, as needed.
  • Answer customer questions and concerns in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Stock and recover merchandise, ensuring a well-organized store environment.
  • Operate pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed, to support store operations.
  • Ensure proper signage is in place throughout assigned departments.
  • Utilize a computer to check prices and inventory levels.
  • Assist with inventory preparation and create special orders, as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a pleasant disposition under stress.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills within the scope of the position.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing for extended periods. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
