Educational and Experience Prerequisites

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the successful execution of the job's essential functions. A minimum of four to five years of experience in shipping, material handling, vendor recovery, procurement, technical operations, and logistics is required.

Position Objective : Operate with minimal oversight to monitor and manage Aircraft on Ground (AOG) through sales, procurement, picking, shipping, and delivery processes. Identify out-of-stock components to support AOG needs. Assist Technical Operations by assuming order-taking responsibilities as necessary. Provide mentorship and training to junior expediters. Ensure customers are informed about part shipments through direct communication. Job Responsibilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Core Functions:
  1. Establish performance metrics and improvement strategies for management to evaluate the overall effectiveness of the expediter team and assist the group lead in executing enhancements.
  2. Maintain daily communication with clients and take primary responsibility for direct customer interactions to convey part shipment and core retrieval updates.
  3. Play a significant role in influencing annual OTC sales revenue.
  4. Oversee the training and development of junior expediters, providing leadership to the expediter team in the absence of the Group Lead.
  5. Determine the most efficient methods to fulfill and resolve AOG orders. Communicate and ensure adherence to AOG response protocols. Utilize full requisition and purchasing authority to meet AOG demands.
  6. Assist Parts Sales and Technical Operations staff in sourcing out-of-stock components for AOG. Track out-of-stock items to guarantee timely delivery to customers and compile an AOG summary report.
  7. Support Technical Operations staff with part orders as needed. Facilitate the expediting of bulk shipments. Supervise picking and crating to ensure compliance with shipping cutoffs for orders processed by 1:30 p.m.
  8. Provide daily direction to all Spare Parts Sales Representatives.
  9. Collaborate with Purchasing to onboard approved third-party suppliers to address future AOG challenges. Work with Planners to analyze and mitigate backorder history.
  10. Conduct quality assessments when procuring from third parties to ensure compliance with Gulfstream quality standards. Review related documentation to confirm the presence of inspection records, including 8130 tags.
  11. Identify corrective measures and potential alternatives when standard GAC and GDAS cannot supply parts to meet scheduling needs; initiate corrective actions and monitor progress to prevent recurring issues.
  12. Coordinate all parts-related matters to ensure proper documentation is provided by vendors and/or GAC ODARS.
  13. Oversee all Corridor Sales Orders to ensure accurate processing across all GAC departments.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Travel domestically and/or internationally as necessary.
  2. Participate in a rotation of AOG duties.
  3. Lead daily shortage meetings with both planning and purchasing management.
Perform other assigned duties as needed. Other Qualifications:
  1. Proficient in operating personal computers; experience with Microsoft Windows/Windows NT, Microsoft Office Suite, and proprietary software.
  2. Must possess knowledge of Corridor, Technical Operations, and parts sales functions, along with an understanding of alternative supplier networks.
  3. Extensive understanding of Gulfstream Procurement, Vendor Recovery protocols, and manufacturing principles for both purchased and in-house produced components.
  4. Strong familiarity with parts sources across all Gulfstream locations, third-party parts providers, Inventory Locator Service (ILS), and alternative channels is preferred.
  5. Act on behalf of the Group Lead in their absence.
