Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering necessary materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Obtain patients' medical histories, vital signs, and other essential data.
- Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Educate patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up care, test results, and physician instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and practice operations.
- Meet meaningful use requirements and adhere to compliance standards.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- LPN licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry abilities.
- Experience in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation skills.
- One year of experience as an LPN.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
