The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for applying nursing procedures to care for a designated group of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiates nursing process utilizing the nursing assessment tool on an ongoing basis
  • Provides nursing care in compliance with physician's orders and established medical protocols
  • Implements detoxification procedures and delivers patient care according to withdrawal scale and physician's orders
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of withdrawal medications and modalities used in addiction treatments
  • Records and reports to appropriate care providers any information that may impact patient's treatment and/or continuing care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a valid LPN license to practice in the State of New York
  • Prior experience/knowledge of alcoholism, chemical addiction, and mental health experience preferred
