About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Manager RN Evenings to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall daily function and staffing of the emergency department, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow.
- Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care, holding staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes.
- Participate in providing patient-specific care standards, following service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice, improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost, and ensure a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, and manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments, ensuring staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
- Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience, instilling accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing required.
- 1+ year experience in a healthcare setting.
