About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Deli Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our deli department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present fresh and healthy food options to customers, including made-to-order sandwiches and salads.
  • Provide expert knowledge of our deli products, including meats, cheeses, and specialty items.
  • Assist customers with their catering orders and provide recommendations for special occasions.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the deli team to maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in the grocery or food service industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds, with frequent bending and standing.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food safety certification and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
