Job Title: Polysomnographic Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitoring physiological phenomena throughout such procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices by established protocols.
• Performs special procedures such as multiple sleep latency testing.
• Assesses and interprets patient status in order to identify and provide appropriate care based on the assessment and specific needs identified.
• Correctly documents all therapy given according to Department policy.
• Correctly completes all patient records and documentation including patient assessment and patient education.

Requirements:

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
• Additional experience as an EEG Technician or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS Certification required.
• One to three years previous experience in hospital-based or freestanding Sleep Center.
• Scoring experience required. Knowledge of AASM Standards.
