Software Development Manager, Prime Video

Job Description:
Prime Video is revolutionizing the way people consume media with its vast library of movies, TV shows, and original content. As a Software Development Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of digital video by leading the development of next-generation linear TV experience systems. Your team will be responsible for designing and building scalable systems to source program schedules and station metadata from multiple sources, creating a knowledge base of information about all linear content in Prime Video.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a team of software engineers and applied scientists
- Direct project roadmaps with your team, management, and stakeholders
- Work with peer managers to determine scope and estimate development effort
- Lead systems design, architecture, and scaling discussions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
