Job Title: Global Infection Prevention Leader

Job Summary:

Olympus Corporation of the Americas is seeking a highly experienced Global Infection Prevention Leader to join our Medical Affairs team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and expertise in infection prevention and control across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control strategies to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical trials, post-market surveillance, and risk management activities.
  • Provide scientific and clinical leadership to inform IP strategy and decision-making.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for regulatory agencies, public health authorities, and industry partners.
  • Lead the Infection Control Committee and IP Surveillance Team to ensure effective infection prevention and control practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, professional societies, and industry partners.
  • Contribute to the development of new product development, design controls, and risk management plans.
  • Perform post-marketing surveillance and regulatory reporting, and guide contract research organizations and consulting/contractor support.

Requirements:

  • Advanced post-baccalaureate degree relevant to Infection Prevention (MD, MD PhD preferred, PhD, DNP, MS, MPH, MHA or equivalent master's level degrees will be considered with extensive experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant clinical infectious disease or infection prevention experience with patient safety, including hospitals, academia, health systems, medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent type organization based upon global location is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in presenting to, collaborating, or working from within global Public Health Agencies (World Health Organization, US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, US Center for Disease Control - CDC, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control -ECDC, US Food & Drug Administration – FDA, or equivalent), and/or Country, Regional, State, or Local Public Health Departments is preferred.
