">Job Description
">The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, as well as participate in pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
">Responsibilities
">- ">
- Administer anesthesia and related care to patients undergoing surgical procedures">
- Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support">
- Assume responsibility for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines">
- Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs">
- Perform according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards">
- Review appropriate documentation for informed consent and identify appropriate surgical site with operating room staff and surgeon in accordance with departmental and regulatory compliance standards">
- Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation">
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required">
- Knowledgeable regarding controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws required">
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required">
- Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists required">
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire">
- AHA-approved ACLS/PALS certifications as required by institution of employ upon hire">
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)">
- Act 33 with renewal">
- Act 34 with renewal">
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal">
