The Opportunity

This role is based at our Sturgis, MI location within the Abbott Nutrition division. We develop science-backed nutrition products for people of all ages, from infants and children to adults and seniors. Millions rely on our leading brands, such as Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna, to help them maintain their overall health.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Sanitation Specialist in food manufacturing, your primary focus will be on maintaining a clean and contamination-free environment. This involves adhering to approved cleaning and sanitizing processes, ensuring assigned areas are properly cleaned and sanitized. You will work closely with the maintenance team to align your cleaning schedule with equipment maintenance activities.

• Oversight and participation in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
• Prevention of cross-contamination during sanitation procedures
• Adherence to company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Completion of required sanitation and work order documentation
• Maintenance of sanitation-related equipment and supplies
• Other duties assigned by the sanitation supervisor
• Maintenance of quality system effectiveness and adherence to GMPs and safety policies
