Position Overview:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Operations Associate to contribute to our mission of transforming healthcare. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate packaging of medications while working closely with advanced automated systems. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the workflow process, from initial dispensing to quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate automated machinery for the pre-sorting and packaging of medications.
2. Count and fill prescription vials, ensuring proper labeling on all items.
3. Pack and ship completed medication packages, including accurate labeling for dispensers and shipping boxes.
4. Sort and prioritize shipments to ensure timely delivery.
5. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
6. Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to HIPAA compliance.
7. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
8. Ensure timely processing of orders, meeting all clinical requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within two years).
- Basic computer skills and typing proficiency.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with medication packaging software.
- Proficiency in basic math and measurement conversions.
- Knowledge of automated medication packing systems.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Soft Skills:
- Team-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work.
- Problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities.
