Your Role

The Installation Superintendent plays a crucial role in executing various installation tasks for technology projects. This position is essential for the successful implementation of our clients' systems. The Superintendent will collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their responsibilities on each project. They will interpret technical drawings to establish the foundation for completed systems, which may involve:
  • Building and configuring racks and enclosures.
  • Terminating panels and installing devices.
  • Conducting testing and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) at the start of each project to ensure all necessary materials are accounted for.

• Manage project timelines effectively, communicating any potential delays to the appropriate parties.

• Take ownership of job schedules and ensure that technicians are held accountable for their work.

• Maintain adherence to quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.

• Regularly communicate with the Regional Supervisor, documenting project milestones, accomplishments, and any issues that arise.

• Seek assistance when necessary and proactively address any challenges encountered during installation.

• Prioritize tasks efficiently, managing multiple job sites simultaneously.

• Foster a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and enhancing skills among team members.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Lenel Certification is preferred.

Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with strong administrative skills to manage project requirements.
  • Proficient in using software tools such as Teams, Outlook, OneNote, and BlueBeam/Adobe Reader.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, including matrices and drawings.
  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical retrofitting for locking hardware.
  • Clean driving record and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in various environments.
