Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at WellHaven Pet Health. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, including surgeries, vaccinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including answering questions, providing education on pet care, and addressing concerns.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining inventory.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6+ months of experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
  • Completion of an NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
