Atrium Health is offering a $60,000 - $80,000 per year salary for this Registered Nurse position.

Job Summary

This role involves assessing and diagnosing patients in a practice setting, identifying outcomes, implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care. The successful candidate will work with oncology and infusion patients, providing education and counseling to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • IDentify expected outcomes for individualized treatment plans
  • Implement identified treatment plans and coordinate all aspects of care delivery
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and family members regarding health needs, healthcare activities, immunization requirements, medication effects, and contraindications
  • Meet specific clinical needs of oncology and infusion patients using knowledge and expertise
  • Recognize medication mix-ups and factors affecting stability
  • Perform facility acuity coding by selecting the appropriate level of service for a diverse patient population
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, preferably with a BSN degree. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of North Carolina is required. Oncology experience and proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and phlebotomy are preferred. Oncology certification and BLS certification are also desirable.
