We are seeking a skilled Savory Cook to join our team at Starbucks. As a Savory Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing and executing food preparation in large quantities, ensuring high-quality dishes and prep items for all food locations, catering events, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare a wide variety of savory products, soups, and sauces according to prescribed recipes.
- Review production schedules to determine variety and quantity of food to prep and assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily food prep activities.
- Portion all savory items according to specifications.
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Attend to day-to-day challenges and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detect, document, and ensure disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
- Complete production sheets and other records as required.
- Consistently maintain standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Food Service and Production Experience - 2 years
- Local Health Code and Safety Certifications
- Culinary Degree Preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships and engage across differing cultures and societies
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English required. Additional languages are beneficial.
