As we expand, we are looking for individuals who are eager to elevate their careers in a forward-thinking environment. The Structural Engineering Specialist is recognized as a technical expert who utilizes creativity and resourcefulness to develop innovative solutions for clients. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, Engineers, and other team members to design a variety of structural engineering projects, including but not limited to water and wastewater treatment facilities, industrial structures, and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate complex project planning, execution, and completion.
- Utilize established CAD standards to prepare detailed electronic drawings with minimal oversight.
- Design structures and related components while providing conceptual input during project planning phases.
- Draft, update, and plot plans and details as required.
- Collaborate with engineers and design team members to organize and plan work effectively to meet project goals within budget and timelines.
- Maintain organized project files and standard databases.
- Apply knowledge of construction sequencing and composition to complex building structures.
Basic Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering or architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform structural plan and detail layouts with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software (Revit).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to apply knowledge to guide team problem-solving efforts.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of wood, cold-formed steel, structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, and masonry construction practices.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive environment and upholding integrity, fairness, and reliability.

- Ability to adapt to new conditions and work effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects.
- Advanced technical knowledge to anticipate and mitigate potential issues through collaboration.

- Capability to establish and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage various initiatives simultaneously.
