The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy at Piedmont Eastside is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their care journey.
Department Highlights
Piedmont Eastside offers a comprehensive range of surgical services, including:
- Advanced outpatient and inpatient surgical options
- Robotic-assisted surgeries
- High-volume endovascular procedures
- State-of-the-art laparoscopic techniques
- Minimally invasive neurosurgery
- Robotic urology surgeries
Key Responsibilities
The RN will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, gathering comprehensive health histories and psychosocial data.
- Evaluate patients based on their developmental stages during assessments and treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring alignment with patient needs and expected outcomes.
- Administer care that is tailored to the patient's condition and severity, ensuring optimal treatment delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of support staff to enhance patient care.
- Identify educational opportunities for patients and provide necessary resources to meet their learning objectives.
- Communicate effectively with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and medical staff regarding patient concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions in medical records.
Successful candidates will possess:

- Initiative and independent judgment in clinical settings
- Capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Education and Certification Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must:
- Have graduated from an accredited nursing program
- Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or an NLC/eNLC multistate license
- Possess BLS certification
Preferred Experience
For PRN positions, candidates should have at least one year of nursing experience in a hospital environment. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Experience in PreOp, PACU, Endoscopy, or similar settings is advantageous.
