Systems Performance Engineer

We're seeking a highly motivated systems engineer with excellent analytical skills to join our team. If you're passionate about crafting elegant solutions to complex challenges, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop targeted experiences for creatives on Macs, defining key metrics to analyze hardware and software performance.
- Measure system analytics, such as performance, power, thermal, and acoustic data, to analyze hardware and software behavior and recommend optimal user experiences.
- Uncover potential optimization opportunities across all aspects of hardware, including CPU, GPU, neural engine, media engine, memory, and storage, as well as software, such as OS, drivers, and applications.
- Collaborate with engineering groups to enhance and improve customer experiences on Mac for creatives.
- BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience in system performance and power profiling tools, visual effects, animation, immersive experience design, or similar creative field.
- Understanding of operating system fundamentals and system performance analysis and debug.
- Knowledge in two or more established creative software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally from silicon to SW teams.
- Understanding of machine learning/AI algorithms on creative workflows.
- Scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar.
