Your Role:

As a Community Activity Companion, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide one-on-one support and companionship, engaging participants in various community activities such as outings, events, shopping, and more.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster meaningful relationships with participants, encouraging their growth and independence.
  • Assist individuals in achieving developmental goals related to budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
  • Support participants in enjoying their favorite activities within the community.
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during outings and activities.

What We Offer:

Competitive Compensation: Enjoy an hourly wage of $16.30, along with a comprehensive benefits package for those working 30+ hours per week. All employees receive mileage reimbursement at 62.5 cents per mile, adding extra value to your earnings.

Flexible Scheduling: We offer both part-time and full-time positions with flexible hours, primarily in the late afternoons/evenings on weekdays and during the day on weekends.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.

Experience: Preferred six months of experience in human services or direct care.

License and Vehicle: A valid CA driver's license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance are required.

Clearances: Ability to pass criminal and driver history background checks, as well as a physical and TB test.

Skills: Strong communication, multi-tasking, adaptability, teamwork, and time management abilities.
