About the Role

Splintek Inc, a leading manufacturer of high-quality healthcare products, is seeking a highly skilled Chemist/ Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to determine the physical or chemical properties of various materials to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
  • Research and Development: Contribute to the development and successful launch of new products, including the creation of test methods for new product evaluation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company compliance with EPA, FDA, and OSHA regulations, and maintain calibration programs for lab instruments and production scales.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Properly document results and assist in the development and improvement of laboratory SOPs and the maintenance of the quality assurance system.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution of quality control and assurance processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of laboratory and quality assurance experience, with familiarity with ASTM and ISO test methods.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge of analytical chemistry, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Injection Molding Processing: Familiarity with injection molding processing, thermoplastic polymers, and polymer chemistry.
  • Instrumental Analysis: Experience with instrumental analysis, including GC and GC-MS, DSC, FTIR, optical profilometry, and optical microscopy.
