Position Summary

This role requires a highly skilled Surgical Technician with expertise in multiple specialties. The ideal candidate will possess superior knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities include developing and delivering continuing education topics, serving as a liaison to Instrument Techs, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role

Understands supply costs and works with the team to maintain quality care while containing costs

Assures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure

Communicates with Biomedical Services regarding equipment status

Educates staff on instrumentation and equipment care

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) required

Minimum 2 years of experience in at least 3 different specialty areas

Pay Range

$27.77 - $40.27 /hour
