Job Title: Direct Care Support Staff Specialist

This role involves advancing our mission to deliver high-quality person-centered services at Hurley House. As a Residential Support Staff member, you will ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, maintain the cleanliness of the facility, and uphold the integrity and confidentiality of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate log entries to track resident activities and program progress.
  • Perform regular hourly rounds inside and outside of the program to ensure resident safety and prevent potential hazards.
  • Conduct bedroom checks to verify resident safety and security.
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner (e.g., incident reports) to maintain program transparency and accountability.
  • Attend staff meetings as required to stay informed about program updates and best practices.
  • Ensure client/resident safety and cleanliness of the House at all times by removing obstacles and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Consistently follow all Program policies and protocols in all Program functions to maintain program consistency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate and/or supervise urine drug-screening collection processes and the administration of medications in accordance with Program-specific policies and BSAS protocols.
  • Protect the integrity and confidentiality of the clients and Program at all times by upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards.
  • Be present and punctual for all assigned shifts to ensure continuity of care and effective communication with team members.
  • Conduct fire drills using the evacuation plan to prepare residents and staff for emergency situations.
  • Abide by all MHSA policies regarding boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Attend in-service and outside training as directed by the Program Director to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
