Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the PreOp PACU department at Surgery Care Affiliates. As a RN PreOp PACU, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe transition of patients from the preoperative to the postoperative phase.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and comfort, including pain management and wound care.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing.
  • Current state licensure to practice nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (if applicable).
