Job Summary

Behaven Kids is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Child Behavior Technician Intern to join our team. As a Child Behavior Technician Intern, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and effective clinic-based therapeutic and learning environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a Safe and Structured Learning Environment: Create a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Interact with Children in a Professional Manner: Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Implement Behaven Kids Model of Care and Curriculum: Work closely with our team to implement our evidence-based model of care and curriculum, which focuses on building positive child behaviors.
  • Implement Treatment Goals and Objectives: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child.
  • Communicate Effectively with Parents, Peers, and Supervisor: Maintain open and transparent communication with parents, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Update and Maintain Documentation and Children's Records: Accurately and thoroughly document children's progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and organization.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or 3 years of experience in a preschool or daycare setting, is preferred.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an active environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
