Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Promote a culture of safety and adhere to all safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaboration and Planning: Work closely with our Scheduler/Planner to prioritize work assignments based on tool availability, equipment quantity, and work priority.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing tool and part inventories, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available for use.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular preventative maintenance on our facilities to ensure adequate working conditions and compliance with maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Work Order Management: Initiate work orders and maintain accurate and detailed records of work completed.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed company records and reports as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Midstate Energy's services and processes; working knowledge of 480-volt 3 phase power distribution; familiarity with Simplex Fire Alarm systems; competency with Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Remote I/O, DC Speed Controllers, AC/DC Motors, and Motor Controls; demonstrable knowledge of utility systems including hydraulics, air compressors, AHUs, pumps, and HVAC systems; understanding of mechanical power transfer systems such as gear reducers, chain/belt drives, direct drives, bearings, shafts, and couplings; and ability to operate bridge cranes and jib cranes.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload; ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables; ability to utilize and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a team environment; and ability to recognize inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to appropriate superiors.
