As a Medication Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by coordinating and administering medication, providing supervision and guidance to clinical staff members, and supporting the overall care team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and administer medication to nursing home residents in accordance with physicians' orders and company policies.
- Supervise and direct junior staff members and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure high-quality care and adherence to company standards.
- Document residents' conditions and nursing needs accurately and promptly.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
- Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
- Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
- Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
- Valid Medication Technician certification in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
- One year experience in nursing preferred.
