Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer medication to nursing home residents in accordance with physicians' orders and company policies.
  • Supervise and direct junior staff members and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure high-quality care and adherence to company standards.
  • Document residents' conditions and nursing needs accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
  • Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
  • Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
  • Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
Requirements
  • Valid Medication Technician certification in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year experience in nursing preferred.
