Job Summary:

The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients and their owners. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, including surgeries, exams, and lab work
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their owners
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology or a related field
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification
  • 2+ years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
