The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established departmental and hospital protocols. This role involves performing essential tasks to maintain smooth operational flow within the department. The technologist will ensure safety and radiation protection for patients, colleagues, and themselves, adhering to both departmental protocols and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment and examination rooms.
  • Provide clinical services that meet Nuclear Medicine practice standards, serving as a resource for students and fellow technologists.
  • Exhibit progress in skill acquisition and demonstrate effective communication with mentors, showing increased independence over time.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies by optimizing all examinations for accurate interpretation.
  • Utilize radiation protection measures effectively, including collimation devices and protective shielding.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Associate's program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT-N or CNMT certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Student is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required upon starting.
