Job Overview
The successful candidate will partner closely with a Clinical Diabetes Specialist to drive the adoption of our cutting-edge insulin pumps and future products in their designated territory. This role requires building strong relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians, advanced practitioners, certified diabetes care specialists, and key diabetes institutions. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute strategic plans to meet or exceed territory goals, promoting the growth and success of Sequel's products and services.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
• Develop effective territory strategies and initiatives to achieve outstanding results in partnership with the CDS.
• Foster exceptional customer relationships and influence healthcare providers to prescribe Sequel's innovative products for people with diabetes, ensuring a seamless user experience for both healthcare providers and product users.
• Drive continued adoption and growth by facilitating a successful product experience, highlighting expertise in diabetes and therapeutic options for diabetes care.
• Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize the user experience, utilizing proficiency in discussing and demonstrating Sequel products.
• Communicate HCP feedback cross-functionally to solve problems and enhance product development, representing Sequel's products at conventions and educational forums to increase awareness and drive growth.
• Manage all leads and opportunities in the customer relations database daily, submitting product training documentation as required.
• Maintain a high profile with state and local patient advocacy groups and professional diabetes organizations, such as the American Diabetes Association (ADA), Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES), and Breakthrough T1D.
• As a Senior Territory Business Leader, you will also have additional responsibilities, including assisting with field sales training, mentoring junior staff, participating on internal advisory boards, and leading weekly team calls, regional meetings, and area calls when necessary.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 2+ years of sales experience and a demonstrated history of sales success.
• Valid driver's license required for frequent travel within assigned territory.
• For the Senior TBL role: 4+ years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries, with a proven track record of sales success, preferably in diabetes and automated insulin devices.
• Required skills include strategic problem-solving, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, promote team collaboration, and execute sales and marketing plans while managing territory budgets.
• Ability to commute and spend extended periods driving each day, including overnight travel, which may require carrying professional samples and literature.
Additional Requirements for Senior TBL Role:
• Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals, recognition for outstanding contributions in sales, and experience in developmental and leadership roles, such as field sales trainer, mentor, and representative at industry conferences.
• Career progression/promotions into roles with increased responsibility and participation in marketing input committees are desirable.
• The ideal candidate must live within the assigned geography and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Total compensation for this position is estimated to be $185,000 - $215,000 annually, based on achievement of goals. Benefits include comprehensive benefits, PTO, car allowance, and other perks.
