About the CNC Lathe Machinist Role

Calmax Technology, a leading manufacturer of precision machined parts, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Santa Clara, CA.

Estimated Salary: $27 - $42 per hour (based on experience and location)

We offer competitive pay based on experience, with a 10% differential for second shift employees. Eligible for overtime and a one-time retention bonus after completing regular work hours.

Job Responsibilities

As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing work orders, drawings, and engineering plans to run parts according to customer specifications
  • Setting up lathe production equipment for junior CNC Lathe Machinists and conducting tests, analyses, and calibrations
  • Calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment
  • Familiarity with CNC Mill equipment and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training
