The Program Manager will spearhead the planning and execution of initiatives within Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. This role involves creating work plans and performance metrics, monitoring progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution, coordinating resources, and fulfilling assigned tasks. Collaboration with managers, directors, and clinicians is essential to develop work plans and metrics that align with departmental strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee Fuel Bar Programming for student athletes, including staffing, budgeting, procurement, inventory management, and food safety protocols.
- Support the Program Director of Performance Nutrition in gathering, analyzing, and communicating clinical and operational performance metrics.
- Develop and manage project elements such as budgets, resource allocation, information dissemination, meeting facilitation, and performance reporting.
- Implement standard project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, verification, and value measurement.
- Utilize project management tools to ensure precise planning, procurement, and budgeting.
- Engage in analytical activities such as requirements analysis, resource identification, solution definition, white paper development, implementation planning, design, system testing, training, and rollout strategies.
- Manage daily operational aspects of projects, effectively minimizing risks and exposure.
- Prepare and review deliverables for leadership approval, ensuring all project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to facilitate ongoing project status updates, idea exchanges, and information sharing among team members, executives, and vendor partners.
- Ensure project expenditures align with the long-term financial plan and annual capital budget.
- Provide leadership and guidance to effectively define, plan, and implement projects.
- Foster productive relationships with clients and team members, acting as a liaison between various parties and addressing any issues that arise within the project team.
- Create and adjust project work plans as necessary to accommodate changing needs and requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Five to eight years of experience in a relevant role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred; may substitute for work experience.
