Job Description:
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our team in San Francisco. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices, and their private businesses and/or investment entities, partnerships, and flow-throughs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing technical review of complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax returns
- Leading multiple engagements that deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting, including federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation skipping tax
- Advising and making recommendations to clients on business succession planning
- Building on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends, developments, and technical authorities and applying them to complex situations
- Assisting with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets are met
- Utilizing your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
- Investing in your professional development individually and through participation in firm-wide learning and development programs
- Supporting the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA, EA, MST, or JD/LLM
- Eight (8) + year(s) of experience in tax return review and planning for wealthy individuals, family members, and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses
- Two (2)+ year(s) of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates (desired)
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the big picture as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
- Eligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred
Salary Range:
The compensation range for this role is $122,300 to $264,990. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
