Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other factors. The salary range does not necessarily reflect the actual total compensation that may be earned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop bridge design plans and construction bid documents for various transportation projects.
  • Complete assignments related to bridge inspections, load ratings, and all aspects of concrete and steel bridge and foundation design.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in field inspections and prepare reports for bridge and culvert evaluations.
  • Participate in project initiation meetings.
  • Research and document jurisdictional requirements.
  • Create innovative design solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Conduct site feasibility studies and environmental assessments.
  • Manage schematic design, engineering systems coordination, and cost analysis.
  • Research specifications and materials.
  • Produce detailed design plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for bridges and related structures.
  • Collaborate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure work accuracy and quality.
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers proactively.
  • Provide technical assistance during the construction phase, addressing design-related inquiries from contractors and reviewing construction progress.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MS preferred).
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in transportation and structures/bridge design.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or the ability to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD, and Bridge Design Software is preferred.
