Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary challenges. This position involves the assessment, treatment, and management of patients experiencing various respiratory conditions. The therapist collaborates closely with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostics of patients' respiratory functions.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to healthcare staff regarding respiratory care protocols.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: An Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy is mandatory.

CREDENTIALS: A valid Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license is required. Candidates must also possess a current CPR certification or acquire it within the initial 60 days of employment. Additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS are expected within 90 days, while NRP certification is highly recommended.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Emotional resilience and effective stress management are essential for success in this role.
