As a Laundry Service Associate, you will collaborate closely with residents and fellow housekeeping and maintenance personnel to ensure that all residents' garments and linens are impeccably cleaned and maintained.

Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Gather and categorize soiled garments and linens for cleaning.
  2. Efficiently launder soiled items daily to meet the needs of the care center, ensuring clean garments and linens are folded and ready for distribution.
  3. Maintain the quality of linens and residents' clothing by repairing any damages.
  4. Keep the laundry area organized and sanitized, adhering to established protocols, while ensuring the washer and dryer are properly maintained.
  5. Utilize cleaning agents and other materials in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  6. Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and stored correctly, keeping storage areas tidy and safe. Communicate supply and equipment needs to supervisors as necessary.
  7. Coordinate daily laundry services with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience working with seniors is advantageous.
  • Capability to follow verbal instructions and comprehend written guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills for daily interactions with residents.
  • Aptitude for solving practical issues and interpreting various forms of instructions.
