Direct Counsel, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced attorney to join our Commercial Litigation Group. As a junior-to mid-level associate attorney, you will work on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal court, collaborating with top companies across various industries.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and execution of litigation strategies for commercial disputes, including business governance, class actions, antitrust, false advertising, and securities cases.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the development of legal arguments and positions.
- Participate in courtroom proceedings, including trials and hearings, and provide expert testimony as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to achieve case objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to ensure the highest level of expertise.
- 3-4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, including business disputes, corporate governance, class actions, antitrust, false advertising, and/or securities.
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school and graduated in the top 30% of the class.
- Admission to practice law in the state of California.
- Courtroom experience and a strong track record of success.
- Prior experience with an AM Law 100 firm is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $235,000 – $270,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors, including experience level, education/training, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in an excellent performance and hours-based bonus program.
