We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Certified Welding Inspector - NDT Level II to join our team in San Angelo, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting structural steel, carbon steel piping fit-up, and welding
  • Performing non-destructive evaluations, such as magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing
  • Serving as a consultant in the area of expertise (structural steel, pipeline, pressure vessel, and reinforcing steel)
  • Preparing inspection reports and other client-required letters using RK format
  • Maintaining close contact with all clients during the entire duration of projects
  • Notifying the leader of potential group involvement in legal matters
  • Working with legal counsel as required and directed

The ideal candidate will possess:

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years steel inspection/welding experience
  • Certification by the American Welding Society as a Certified Welding Inspector (AWS QC1)
  • Certification by the American Society of Nondestructive Testing as NDT Level II or higher in both ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing
  • Valid Texas driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Travel to construction sites and other locations as required
  • Work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration and communication
