Job Overview

Top Notch Talent Management is seeking a dedicated Estimator to join a well-established Commercial Flooring Contractor.

This is an entry-level Estimator role primarily focused on take-offs, with an added advantage for candidates who can estimate flooring costs and other related construction elements. The role involves collecting and analyzing data, formulating budgets, and preparing detailed reports. A solid grasp of construction plans, materials, methods, and labor costs is essential. The Estimator will also need to cultivate relationships with clients, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively within a strong internal team. This position serves as a stepping stone towards becoming a Senior Estimator or transitioning into an Assistant Project Manager role in Commercial Flooring for prominent general contractor clients already partnered with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in Measure Square & Job Tracker estimating software.
  • Evaluate project plans and specifications to estimate costs associated with flooring and other construction scopes.
  • Foster relationships with contractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Stay informed about the latest construction materials, methods, and labor costs.
  • Experience with private and public works projects that utilize union, prevailing wage, or market rate wages is required.
  • Familiarity with hard bids and negotiated bids is essential.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a Sales, Estimating, and Operations Team.
  • Once a project is secured, collect, prepare, and communicate all pertinent project information to the operations team.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Oversee the project throughout its entire lifecycle.
