Tax Services Director

We're seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead our Real Estate Tax team. As an Associate Director of Tax Consulting, you'll be responsible for managing client relationships, developing creative tax strategies, and overseeing the delivery of tax consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day client service relationships and serve as the lead advisor for specialized tax services.
- Develop and implement tax strategies using the latest technologies.
- Oversee the delivery of all tax consulting services to clients, coordinating with specialists when necessary.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on tax issues related to business transactions and financing techniques.
- Provide tax planning services for corporate and individual clients.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate staff, offering leadership, counseling, and career guidance.
- Identify new service opportunities for clients.
- Maintain and develop superior tax technical competencies.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MST, JD, or LLM preferred.
- CPA license required.
- Recognized as a tax technical expert with a reputation in specific industries and service lines.
- Strong research capabilities with well-documented research projects.
- Ability to interpret complex technical information, including corporate and individual tax issues, accounting principles, and financial models.
- Experience reviewing tax returns, memoranda, and opinions, and presenting tax issues to clients.
- Proficiency in utilizing information technology for managing engagements.
- Ability to lead multiple engagements, maximizing firm profitability.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality service in complex situations.
- Trusted to participate in confidential meetings with firm directors.
- Demonstrates alignment with the firm's culture and growth objectives through actions and performance.
- Excellent client relationship management, with the ability to articulate full-service capabilities to clients and potential clients.
- Proven ability to pursue new business opportunities and leverage firm resources effectively.
- Experience in motivating and developing staff to reach their full potential.
