About the Role:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and work under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other essential health metrics as per facility protocols.
- Document care provided and any significant changes in residents' health status.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Support nursing staff by preparing necessary supplies and assisting in various medical procedures.
- Provide a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; current CNA certification required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer residents, and perform tasks that require stamina.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and nursing aide techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining resident records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
- Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
