About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Medtronic. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Neuromodulation Pain and Target Drug Delivery Therapies in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Medtronic as a device specialist during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and products are available, providing technical support, and performing programming and testing of all device systems.
  • Educate and manage patients through all phases of the clinical process, including pre and post-implantation.
  • Train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies, including coordinating one-on-one teaching sessions, formal in-services, education programs, seminars, and outside symposia.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to device-related inquiries from customers and patients.
  • Work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical events, and attend national meetings, district meetings, and other training as requested.
  • Manage inventory within specified guidelines and contribute to the achievement of quarterly goals associated with specific initiatives at the district, regional, and national level.
  • Regularly visit accounts to establish and maintain relationships with office staff and healthcare providers, and assist in new employee training within the district and mentor Associate Clinical Specialists.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience, or an Associate's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience, or a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
  • Ability to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation, and ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events.
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical events, and ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and other training as requested.
  • Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods of time in the operating room, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to sitting, standing, and/or walking for 8+ hours per day, and ability to bend/stoop, squat, and balance frequently.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $68,000.00 - $100,000.00.

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
